"As hilarious and provocative as ever." - The Guardian

– New York Times

YOUR OWN PERSONAL POET (various times)

Enter the capsule of Harula Ladd. A poet floating through space armed with nothing but her typewriter, a plasma gun and bags of creativity. Over the night Harula will be typing up personalized on-the-spot poems. Just sign up for a slot, feed her some inspiration, and hey presto - your very own poem!

Workshops & activities

ROBOT WARS! (various times)

Join us for a crafty, creative Robot Wars! led by Devon-based artist, Emma Baskeyfield (theatre maker and puppeteer, who loves to craft fun things for onstage and off! ) Using nothing but recycled materials, a bit of glitter and a lot of love, you can create your very own Robotnik Buddy! At the end of the night, your robots will battle it out (by way of a vote) to find the most gorgeous cyborg, or the most adroit droid. Only the hottest bot will win!

Laura Horton Millfields Inspired Trustee Portraits 50 1

Have a go at writing your own deliberately bad sci-fi themed erotic fiction, with award-winning writer and Plymouth Laureate of Words Laura Horton. Laura will navigate you through a world of cringe encounters, creeping tentacles, and bad sex writing, with prompts and exercises. You'll do some of your own writing - be it a short story, a poem or a play. And you'll have the chance to have your own filth read live onstage.
