Future Proof

Future Proof will turn Paignton Library into a whirl of creative activity for all ages. Take part in the ‘the big clothes swap’ and learn to mend; try your hand at junk modelling and make simple soft toys; get crafty with old books and help make a community artwork; get tips on growing vegetables and fruit in small spaces; pick up free seeds from our seed exchange; make a seed bomb; repair your bike; learn about Paignton's hidden nature nooks and discover the secrets of seagrass. With workshops, information stands and film screenings, plus the ‘Operation Earth’ show.

This event will hope to offer a taste of a positive and creative future for Torbay in the midst of a world being reshaped by climate change. The day will weave together crafts, film, free exchange, repair and upcycling, practical workshops and inspiring speakers that map pathways toward greater local resilience.
