Billing: Learn to make a traditional round basket with handle from willow with local basket maker Jane Welsh
Join established local basket maker and teacher Jane Welsh. Make a useful round collecting basket using the traditional stake and strand method of basketry. Learn to weave the base using the pairing weave, waling and French randing in the sides, and finish off with a rod boarded and handle. There will be a selection of different naturally coloured willows which you can choose to make your own unique basket. Suitable for beginners. Refreshments provided bring your own lunch.
