A Night with T.S Idiot & Poetry Open Mic

Cabaret show and open mic hosted by T.S. Idiot and their personally curated special guests for a night of queerness, weirdness and joy.
T.S. Idiot is a punk poet, performer and community activist working across the South West. They have produced work and performed for BBC Arts, Tate St Ives and UNESCO and have been shouting on mics in the sweaty basements of Exeter, Plymouth, Bristol and beyond for the last decade. They are self-taught, self-deprecating (and sometimes self-adhesive) and use their signature blend of sharp humour and social commentary to talk about class, queerness and other less important things.
They’ll be joined on the night by Charice Bhardwaj, an Exeter-based poet, and Kimwei, a local musician. (Please note that poet Shaday is no longer able to perform on the night.)
T.S. will also be offering a free daytime workshop (2pm – 3pm), Joy Against The Machine: Writing From a Place of Queer Joy, inviting participants of all backgrounds to explore what queerness, protest and joy can mean to us in our writing today. To book onto the workshop, please click here or contact Exeter Library's reception desk.
Open mic places are free, book your tickets on Eventbrite, in person at Exeter Library or over the phone on 01392 407027.
