Booker Prize-listed author Yvette Edwards - Barnstaple
Booker Prize-listed author Yvvette Edwards will be delivering a creative writing workshop at 2pm followed by an In Conversation event at 6pm.
Yvette's short stories and first novel A Cupboard Full of Coats have been nominated for a number of literary awards. She will be talking about her work and her second novel, The Mother, with Natasha Vigille from Barnstaple's Afrocentric retail hub, Black Wall Street London.
About the Author
Yvvette Edwards is a British East Londoner of Montserratian origin and author of two novels, A Cupboard Full of Coats and The Mother. She has written a number of short stories which have been broadcast on radio and published in anthologies, including New Daughters of Africa. Her work has been nominated for a number of literary awards including the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize and the Man Booker Prize. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
