Under the Reading Tree: drop in art workshops

Following the launch of sculptor James Lake's Reading Tree in Barnstaple Library, we are delighted to be working with artist, Athena Jane Churchill on a series of workshops in Barnstaple Library relating to the Reading Tree and her current installation at the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon.

Join Athena Jane Churchill at one of the free events below:

Friday 11th November, 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Join Athena Jane Churchill at the Library's regular Tea and Chat event to make birds and leaves to adorn the tree.

Saturday 10th December, 10am - 4pm

Family-friendly workshop with Athena Jane Churchill. Make some sparkly birds to hang in the atrium.  

Tuesday 13th December , 10am – 4pm

Family Art session. Come and make some Christmas decorations.

This session will be followed by Stories and songs under the tree with hot chocolate, 4.30-5.30pm. Booking essential through Barnstaple Library. Tel. 01271 318 782.
