Devon's War Girls with MED Theatre

In this 45-minute play, MED Theatre takes audiences back to 1939 Devon, when Britain was on the brink of war and the whole country was making preparations, including the rural communities. Dartmoor is suddenly home to evacuees, soldiers, medics and, of course, the Land Girls.  

Molly and Enid, two young women trying to navigate wartime life, take turns in telling true local stories in this two-hander performance, combining physical theatre, props, music and dance to bring Dartmoor’s war history to life.  

MED Theatre creates multigenerational, original work using local material, highlighting the relationship between theatre and its surroundings.
