Linocut Workshop with Sarah Rigler

Create your own greetings cards: an introduction to basic linocut tools and printing techniques.

Each participant will learn how to produce a simple greetings card design using an A6 lino plate. This can be a monochrome design to be printed in a colour of participant's choice or (where the design is very simple) a 2-plate design to produce a run of bi-colour prints. Double size paper will be available for folding into cards if desired.

All materials and equipment for making the greetings cards (except envelopes) will be provided.

Participants are asked to bring:

- a folder or box (ideally A4 size) to carry wet prints home, though newsprint will be provided for wrapping

- optional: some image ideas for adapting. There will be some simple designs to copy or be inspired by
