Tamsin Pender

Programme Coordinator

Tamsin works within the Creative Communities team to manage and support our exciting Arts Council funded programme across 54 libraries in Devon and Torbay.

Tamsin's background is in art and design, and arts education - she studied at The Royal Academy of Arts and has exhibited widely including Tate Gallery St Ives. Tamsin has created designs for The Southbank Centre (Imagine Children's Festival, Beanotown, Vintage New Years Eve), National Poetry Library, RAMM and IKEA!

Tamsin was a founding artist of The Carousel Project, a social enterprise that brought new and exciting creative learning experiences to young families across Devon. The project partnered with organisations including University of Exeter, Royal Albert Memorial Museum and Libraries Unlimited.

Tamsin enjoys working closely with libraries to support and promote inspiring work that engages our communities, and is passionate about public libraries as places to learn, participate, encounter and celebrate!

Tamsin has another role as an Horticulture Volunteer at New Leaf in Exminster. New Leaf is part of Devon Partnership NHS Trust’s Vocational Rehabilitation Service providing therapy, training and supported employment to adults living with a mental health condition who are working towards paid employment now or in the future.
