Bookbinding Workshop Northam
Bookbinding workshop with Sarah Rigler
2pm - 5.30pm
*** Please note that this workshop is now sold out

Make your own pocket sketchbook/doodle book. This workshop provides an introduction to basic bookbinding tools and techniques and is a lovely way to kick start a visual diary habit.
You'll learn how to produce an approximately A6 size pocket book with sewn blank pages and a choice of colours for the cover and endpapers. Time permitting, a second method of sewing loose leaf pages may be demonstrated, and is great for compiling a book of favourite drawings or scrap papers.
All materials and equipment for making the pocket book will be provided.
Participants are asked to:
- bring something to carry book home in, though newsprint will be provided to protect it.
- have a couple of heavy books (dictionaries ideal) ready at home to keep the newly made pocket book compressed overnight.
Tea and coffee available.
Please note that this workshop may run on until 6pm.
